An Evening with Judy Collins
Also appearing: Jamie Notarthomas
Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 8 p.m.
Her silvery soprano voice shines through the room like a ray of sunlight
falling through a stained-glass window. Animated, friendly and
engaging, Judy Collins personifies a time when music was settled and
calm with meaning chiseled into every lyric. Often joking that she is
the American Idol of 1957, Collins does more than sing; she has a
conversation with the audience, spinning tales from her past, recreating
classic covers, and, of course, singing the songs that made her a legend.
