A Special Screening

Love is All You Need?

To Benefit Safe Schools NC

An exclusive look at the award-winning feature film Love Is All You Need? prior to its U.S. theatrical release. In an effort to promote acceptance, this unique evening is brought to North Carolina by the filmmakers in hopes of providing perspective on tolerance in light of recent legislation in the state.

Ticket profits from this event will be donated to Safe Schools NC, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe and positive learning environment for all students and educators in North Carolina, with an emphasis on actual or perceived sexual orientation.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Kim Rocco Shields as well as Love is All You Need? stars Briana Evigan and Blake Cooper Griffin and other surprise guests.

Film Synopsis:

A straight love story in a gay world.

A town is rocked when their local university’s picture-perfect star quarterback is outed for being a heterosexual after her peers discover her forbidden love affair with a male journalist. Their community is part of a world much like our own, but with one big twist: gay is straight and straight is gay.

The fallout of the football star’s outing puts a spotlight on how intolerance of differences affect youth, college students, parents and the town as a whole. As the unique characters’ lives collide, we also get a look at the dramatic effects of other instances of bullying, each pulled from true events and real world experiences.

Love is All You Need? is based on the 19 minute short film of the same name, which was so powerful that it organically garnered over 50 million views and was self-translated by fans into more than a dozen languages, deeply touching and affecting people around the world.

STARRING: Briana Evigan (Step Up Series), Tyler Blackburn (Pretty Little Liars), Emily Osment (Hannah Montana, Young & Hungry), Elisabeth Rohm (American Hustle, Joy), Jeremy Sisto (Clueless), Blake Cooper Griffin (Ride), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), and Kyla Kenedy (The Walking Dead).
