Irvin Kershner's EYES OF LAURA MARS
Eyes is a pitch-perfect snapshot of New York fashion and art design in the late 1970s. Faye Dunaway stars as a controversial photographer who, in her mind’s eyes, witnesses a series of bizarre murders. Tommy Lee Jones is the detective attempting to solve the brutal killings. Adapted from a script written by a then-unknown John Carpenter, Mars was a box office smash, earning more than $20 million. George Lucas was so impressed after seeing this movie, he hired Kershner to direct The Empire Strikes Back.
