NCGLFF 2017 brings 8 of the funniest North American short films to the big screen. After being emasculated at a sales conference, Reese and Peyton decide the only way to regain their confidence and prove their masculinity is to sleep with some women. When they meet Beth and Dominique, it seems like a perfect match. Unfortunately, sealing the deal is easier said than done in Men Don’t Whisper. It's only a first date, but Greg is in over his head. Usually a reserved guy, he struggles to keep up with young, unpredictable Josh in Call Your Father. In The Yoga Bridge, two friends---one white, one First Nations---fight over Vancouver's failed attempt to close a major bridge for citizens to do yoga on National Aboriginal Day. Billy and Shelley are best friends, but their friendship is greatly tested when Shelley's boyfriend secretly comes out to Billy in What About Shelley? 5A-5B concerns two Harlem neighbors, a young gay academic and a free-spirited divorcee, who combat urban ennui with the help of some fine wine from the bodega. When Ty accidentally steals the spotlight at his sister's wedding, tensions arise between him and his family in American Pride. A gay man is forced to give up the last remaining vestige of yet another failed relationship: his ex's jacket. But during the post-breakup stuff exchange, belongings are not the only things that get swapped in Exchange. A hesitant guy walks into a bar and has an unforgettable experience in Josie Grossy.
