Men's Drama Shorts

Abandon your belongings and lead a nomadic lifestyle in this collection of 8 short films from the United States, featuring a variety of genres, styles and subject matter. Manuel is a gay Latino teen who lacks guidance and support. Keeping his sexuality a secret from his homophobic father, Manuel must decide the life he wants to live in Guardian. In the Sunset  following Pearl Harbor, a young man must decide whether to serve overseas or stay in New York with his streetwise male lover. In Foreign Lovers a lonely New Yorker serendipitously meets a mysterious foreigner and sparks ignite. Weather Talk depicts the strained relationship between a closeted son and his father as they drive together across the United States. The bond between a disabled Muslim father and his son is tested when love is pitted against religion in Ablution. Coming of Age flips the expectations of traditionalism as a younger man pushes an older one to look at his romantic ideas of marriage and monogamy and either adapt to the age of GRINDR or risk becoming a dinosaur of contemporary gay culture. When a college student goes to his first hook-up with a mysterious older man, he must determine if his anxieties point to a darker truth about his host in Fish Tank. Filmed in Durham, NC, I Want to Be With You in the Darkness is about one relationship, one love, one life, and two angles.
