Mad Science has provided fun, safe and entertaining ways to bring science to students in budget friendly, high energy and interactive programs. With over 25 years of science presentation experience, their performances and workshops help students to become scientists in a creative way. For FSS, the performance, "Up, Up and Away" introduces children to the principles of air and pressure, and how the weight of our atmosphere pushes down with the force of two elephants. They use a vortex generator to create giant smoke rings to help children see how Bernoulli's principle creates lift. Hot air balloons and hovercrafts help children understand the power of air. Between 6 and 10 volunteers will be called and the entire audience will be engaged.
