Film Acoustic Will Butler of Arcade Fire
Will Butler is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer who is best known as a core member of the indie rock band Arcade Fire. Will plays synthesizer, bass, guitar and percussion. He is known for his spontaneity and antics during performances. He is the brother of Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler. Butler received his first Academy Award nomination for his work on the original score of the film Her in 2014.
Butler and Modern School of Film founder Robert Milazzo will discuss Twelve Monkeys after the film is shown in the theatre’s Fletcher Hall. The event is the seventh in the theatre’s ongoing Film:Acoustic series. Previous screenings have featured Wayne Coyne, Lucinda Williams, Neko Case and Michael Nesmith, Frank Black of the Pixies, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, and Jeff Tweedy.
