The Durham Savoyards Present The Mikado
March 18 - 21, 2010
Durham Savoyards present probably the most famous of Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operas, The Mikado or The Town of Titipu. In the week that marks the 125th anniversary of the opening performance at the Savoy Theatre in London, Derrick Ivey directs, Alan Riley Jones conducts and the 25-member orchestra will support nearly 50 vocalists as the story plays out in a fictitious Japanese village.
