Bouncing Bulldogs & World's Greatest Jump Ropers
Top jumpers from around the world will perform amazing feats of athletic skill that fuse double dutch jump rope with hip hop dance and gymnastics on one stage. Over 14 teams from Canada, Japan, France and the USA will surely delight, demonstrating a variety of skills you’d never think possible with a jump rope. This special, one night only, event brings together leaders from sports, education, and culture to truly show the power and dynamics of what jump rope can do to inspire young people to be their best.
The host team, the Bouncing Bulldogs, are youth ambassadors passionate about jump rope, physical activity, civic engagement and education. Based in Chapel Hill-Durham, North Carolina the Bulldogs are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing jump rope instruction and experiences to jump rope enthusiasts around the world. Led by Coach Ray Fredrick, Jr. for over 27 years, the Bouncing Bulldogs are an internationally renowned, world championship, jump rope team that has been featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal and the CBS Evening News. The team is also featured in Discovery Films documentary Doubletime.
