Star Series

Just moments ago, Carolina Theatre president and CEO Bob Nocek announced our 2012-13 Star Series at an invitation-only special event for the theater’s Star Donors and special guests.

Just announced – singer/songwriter and Raleigh native Tift Merritt will open for The Jayhawks Wednesday, October 26.

With her longtime band, Tift has built a unique and critically acclaimed body of work of sonic short stories and poignant performances. She has been compared to songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris.

Triangle Music reported today that the 2011-12 Star Series is "one of [our] most musically ambitious seasons in recent memory."

Durham's Carolina Theatre has rolled out its 2011-12 Star Series, and it's one of their most musically ambitious seasons in recent memory.

Oh, man are we excited to announce this line-up! The office has been buzzing for weeks over the shows next season, and we could not be happier to share them with you.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, June 10 at 10am.

Congratulations to David in Durham for winning the "Riddle Me This" contest.  This was a ton of fun for the staff and we will definitely do something similar to this in the future.  Thank you all for playing along.
