The Carolina Theatre of Durham has named its venue's cinema wing after former interim President and CEO Dan Berman and his wife, Karen.
In recognition of the contributions and service of its former interim President and CEO Dan Berman, the nonprofit that operates the historic Carolina Theatre of Durham has named the venue's cinema wing after Berman and his wife, Karen. Carolina Theatre of Durham, Inc.'s Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the cinema naming measure, permanently acknowledging Dan Berman's remarkable tenure as the head of the nonprofit from January 2016 to mid-October 2017.
Carolina Theatre of Durham benefactor Pepper Fluke passed away on Saturday at age 87.
The Carolina Theatre of Durham sadly announces the passing of Pepper Fluke, 87, an extraordinary woman whose tireless work and steadfast support helped both save and sustain our historic building for more than 40 years. Without Pepper's direction, energy and generosity, the Carolina Theatre would simply not exist as it does today.
