Jammy, jazz-funk masters Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood bring their Juice tour to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on Monday, Dec. 8.

Musical collaborations aren’t always as great as the sum of their parts, but the greatness of Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood has never been questioned. Since the power trio of John Medeski, Billy Martin and Chris Wood first backed jazz guitar legend John Scofield more than 15 years ago, the two acts have continued to occasionally combine on groove-laden music rich in funk and improvisation.

Ace Frehley, the former lead guitarist and founding member of the legendary rock band KISS, will perform at the Carolina Theatre Monday night (Nov. 17) on his Space Invader Tour. Under his KISS persona of 'The Spaceman," Frehley partnered with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss in the influential glam rock band that was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
