Storm Large Rocks Durham On Wednesday

Musical artists don't get much more interesting than Storm Large. The former Rock Star: Supernova contestant has done the reality TV thing; starred in her own off-Broadway show; served as front woman for Pink Martini; played Carnegie Hall and continued her solo career with her new album: Le Bonheur.

Storm will present a cabaret-style performance at the Carolina Theatre on Wednesday singing selections from her new release including the Cole Porter classic "I've Got You Under My Skin" (see gallery) and her original "A Woman's Heart." If we're lucky, she'll also do a killer cover of the Pixies "Where Is My Mind?" in our offices.

Earlier this year, Storm did an extended radio interview in advance of a performance in Louisville. During it, she noted that her diverse musical catalog has been by design, not by accident:

“If you want to make a living, you have to just kind of do everything, and work with people who are better than you so you learn and you yourself become better. And you have to try things even if you think you're going to suck.”

Our friends at Highway81Revisited caught Storm's tour in New York City last week. Check out the gallery (Photo Credit: Joe Russo for
