Joshua Scott Jones Releases Solo Album

Joshua Scott Jones has officially gone solo. Formerly one-half of the hit-making country duo Steel Magnolia, Jones made his solo debut with a new album, The Healing, released today (June 3).

Jones' 11-track release is filled with songs influenced by his break from Steel Magnolia and Meghan Linsey, and story-telling songs from his past issues with addiction, recovery and rehab. Jones plays an intimate Club Carolina show in Durham on Friday, October 10 at 8 p.m.

Country Weekly had an 'Exclusive First Listen' of The Healing last week:
"There's a little something for all moods," it said.  “Including the decidedly more fun first single, "Honk (If You're Tonky)." On the other hand, "Just How a Heart Breaks" was written during Joshua’s month-long stay at a treatment facility."

Jones embarked on a media tour in New York City last week to promote the album to country audiences and other music fans. He has performances and interviews scheduled during Nashville's CMA Fest later this week.
