Box Office Manager
This position manages the daily operations of the Carolina Theatre box office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Ticketmaster ticketing (including Archtics and Host), customer service, financial reporting and staff management. Position reports to the Senior Director of Operations. Experience with nonprofit organizations and working with development offices is a plus.
The box office manager is responsible for the ticketing builds, setup, maintenance, and management of assigned live events and film programming at the Carolina Theatre.
This critical management position requires experience in building shows and maintaining records inside a Ticketmaster system; exceptional organizational and customer-service skills and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure while interfacing with both staff and guests.
Core Duties:
Build, maintain and modify events in the ticketing system at the direction of Carolina Theatre staff and booking partners, promoters, and rental clients. Work with Live Events, Marketing and promoters to create event pricing, scaling, manifest creation and schedule on-sale dates.
Communicate with Ticketmaster, clients, and national contacts for VIP and Fan Club programs, to maintain national Ticketmaster standards and meet client expectations.
Maintain event ticket inventory and placement of all ticket holds and comps for live events. Ensure ADA compliance for all ticketed events.
Generate and distribute the daily ticket count report for assigned shows.
Serve as prime contact with Ticketmaster regarding events and system maintenance, and providing on-site system administration for all aspects of Ticketmaster software and hardware. Report and follow up on any ticketing equipment repair issues.
Prepare, process and store all Live Event financial reporting and Cinema event reporting in conjunction with the Finance and Marketing Departments.
Assist the Development Department in providing service to Carolina Theatre donors, and processing Sustaining Memberships on a monthly basis.
Generate show audits, method of payment forms and other post-show reports needed for show settlement and record-keeping.
Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and management of Box Office staff, including part-time staff. Complete Box Office payroll forms.
Maintain Box Office customer service program. Resolve customer service issues as necessary.
Audit tickets, complete data entry and sell tickets during business hours, events and day shifts as necessary, including on-call support every weekend for Cinema Box office.
Responsible for box office safe and all monies inside. Complete daily deposits and monitor credit card functions.
Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Operations.

Bachelor’s degree; or two-four years related ticket industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mastery of Ticketmaster ticketing software, specifically Archtics and Host.
Significant experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn all required business systems, including any financial reporting systems.
Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
Exceptional customer service, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Must have flexibility in hours and days available for scheduled events, including nights and weekends.


Marketing Coordinator

Our nonprofit is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator who will have the following responsibilities inside the organization:

• Develop and maintain live event marketing budgets
• Work with agents, promoters and other internal departments to create and execute marketing materials and plans
• Coordinate efforts of full-time Graphic Designer and Film Marketing Coordinator
• Facilitate media buys, coordinate ticket giveaways, create event marketing emails, assist in digital and social media marketing efforts, prepare press releases and maintain email databases.
• Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Senior Director of Live Events.

Candidates must have a four-year degree -- or combinaton of education and equivalent experience -- and a minimum two years of concert, performing arts or sports marketing experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet these basic requirements.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. The position requires reliable transportation and a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends. Candidates must have excellent communication and decision-making skills.  Key competences for this position include being self-motivated, highly organized, and possessing superior attention to detail. Candidates must be experienced in the entire Microsoft Office suite of products.

Part-Time Positions

The Carolina Theatre is always looking to expand its pool of well-qualified employees with experience in certain areas of operations related to live events and cinema. If you have at least one year experience as a box office clerk, house manager, concessions clerk, or projectionist, and you want to work in an environment where customer service excellence is expected, we'd like to hear from you. Part-time Concessions & Box Office Staff

The Carolina Theatre is seeking enthusiastic individuals for customer service positions in Concessions and Box Office departments. Ideal candidates will have at least some experience serving customers and handling money in a fast-paced food service or entertainment type environment. We require everyone to be courteous, prompt and reliable and must be available to work a flexible schedule consisting mostly of nights and weekends. Candidates for Box Office be comfortable working with computers and box office or ticketing experience preferred, but not necessary.
